Supplemental Resources
This is a collection of books that has been developed as supplemental reading material for the curriculum Aprendo a leer y escribir.
The collection comprises of two series and a set of leveled books.
Series I:
This series consist of 4 books. Each book corresponds to a book from the Aprendo a leer y escribir workbooks.
The children practice reading words that combine the set of syllables included in each of the workbooks.
Series II:
This series consist of 4 books. Each book corresponds to a book from the Aprendo a leer y escribir workbooks.
The children practice reading sentences that combine words included in each of the workbooks.

Series I and II are ideal for practicing reading words and sentences
with the specific syllables taught in Aprendo a leer y escribir 1
to 5.
Leveled Books:
These books are organized in levels of difficulty to help the children progressed in their reading skills.
The Leveled books include decodable words, high frequency words and predictable challenging words. The children
will be able to predict those words by using context, pictures and other words in the sentence, syntax and visual
cues of the word.
